It all started on Wednesday- it was snowing a little. This is unusual for March, so I figured it was nothing and went down to Salt Lake to hang out with Irene and Jeanna. Four hours later, I’m coming back up the canyon to Park City in Snowflake passing under a black and orange sign that says “Chains or 4×4 Required: Dangerous Conditions Exist”. In other words, this means a powder day in Park City tomorrow. Snowflake (she’s all wheel drive) and I made up safely- she’s the greatest.
Thursday, I woke up grateful for the 18 inches of snow we received my freelance work setup- which gave me the chance to go snowboarding in the morning when the snow was fresh. I met up with Anthony and Jeanna and played in the 18 inches- it was amazing! There was one point where my board was buried so deep I had to dig down to it, unstrap my feet and then dig my snowboard out of the snow. 18 inches goes up slightly past my knees- I could not see my board most of the day.
