Some friends and I decided to go on a spur of the moment camping trip. We officially decided to go camping on Friday night around 7:30, were on the road to the campground on Saturday at 2 and got home on Sunday at 3. The best part is, it felt like we were gone the entire weekend, but were were really actually gone for 24 hours.
We went to William O’Brien State Park just outside of Stillwater. Only about 45 minutes to an hour away from the Twin Cities. Just simple car camping- pack it up and set up a tent, cook food, and relax. Chris and I with our friends Erica and Greg, Meg and Jason- I guess it was a couples trip, but felt like a group most of the time.
Then the park ranger came by and told us we were under some sort of tornado warning/watch and we had to go to the shelter. So we brought our dinner there. Nothing like eating your dinner outside the Men’s bathroom. Yum!
