After a rough start to the 2009/2010 season with very little snow, things really got going this week. It started snowing on Monday and basically didn’t stop until this afternoon. We had powder day after powder day- it was awesome!
With at least 6 inches pretty much every night, and 3-4 during the day, The Canyons got over 5 FEET this week! Our base depth went from 36 inches to 68! Our year to date total is 42% new snow.
When it snows this much, I just can’t help myself but go out there. I went snowboarding 6 days in a row- this is a new record for me. I usually go about 2-4 times per week, but this week, I went every day except today.
On Thursday after a perfect Tuesday, Anthony and I waited in line at Ninety-Nine 90 for over an hour, while Snow Safety cleared the area. It was worth it for fresh tracks in 12 inches of fresh pow off The Canyons tallest peak.
