So I’ve never really done a lot in Park City when there isn’t snow. I totally know what to do on a mountain in the winter, but today, I learned another way to use Park City Mountain Resort.
After working an early shift at Bux, my friend Jess and I headed out on the mountain. In the winter, we usually work a shift at Bux then rush to the mountain to get a few runs in before it closes, but today we went on a hike. It was a beautiful day here- warm and sunny with temps in the high 60’s. Perfect Park City day for enjoying the outdoors!
After we hung out on top for awhile, we turned around to head back down and saw a moose. (you might want to click on the photo and have it open bigger in a new window). The moose is to the right of the pine tree on the left. Jess explained to me that moose sometimes will charge at you if they feel threatened. If we were charged at we’d have to run up Temptation, which is a blue-rated run (medium difficulty and steepness). It would not be an easy trip up, and the moose would probably run us over. Therefore, we took a detour on our way back.
