We went on another mountain biking and camping trip again! This time to Fruita, Colorado. About 5 hours east of Park City, and an hour away from Moab. Still desert-type climate, we enjoyed weather in the 80’s and sunny while Park City got snow Memorial Day weekend!
In addition to dinosaurs, Fruita also has a statue that pays tribute to Mike, a headless chicken that lived for a few months after its head was chopped off. It’s owners fed it a special way to keep it alive and see how long he’d live. Lil’ guy made it a long time!
Saturday we went on a bike ride on this set of trails called Fruit Loops. It was more technical biking than in Park City, meaning bigger rocks, more tricky maneuvers, and lots of unexpected adventure! Here’s Nicole, Chris and I ready for adventure!
We took a whole group photo before we left. In the back row: (L to R) George, Jill, Kurt, Gary and Patty. In the front row: Megan, Petie, Margo, Zoë, Nicole, me and Chris. It was a great trip- Huge thanks to Nicole for organizing everything! My bike and my tent are already wondering what’s next!?
