Site #36- slightly “remodeled”. They added some grass and made the site a little bit larger. We liked the changes!
We started the night off with a happy hour, complete with Big Island Shandy from Tonka Brewing Company a really neat little microbrewery in the Twin Cities.
We took the boat out on Wednesday for a sunset cruise and tried to fit under this bridge. We didn’t fit. Mom’s showing the signal for “it’s not going to happen!”
Little did we know, that’d be the only night we took the boat out. Since we were kids, we call the boat motor John Johnson and the boat Chris Crestliner. John failed us this time. We had to get a tow back to the campsite. Here’s mom and I working on taking the battery out to be charged.
On Thursday we called up our Park Rapids Repair man, Ray Reevamp. He’s a cigarette smokin’ small town guy with tons of boats in yard and really loves working on old boats. He was so happy to see ours, he called it a Picasso! Check out the photo.
We spent the rest of the week without John and Chris and eventually left them there, as Mom and Dad will go back to get them in a week or two. Next year, hopefully we’ll have John and Chris working and maybe even will have John Kohlhaas and Chris Neville come play!
Mom and Sharon went to Ray’s wife’s garden and got some veggies and found this cute kitty! She’ barley a cat and is pregnant with more kitties! Cute!
Later that day we went to Zobaz. Zorbaz is one of my favorite places in Camperz’ Paradize.
Zharon and I got Bloody Maryz and Mom got a margarita and dad got a beer. Zorbaz is a great place for drinking and relaxing.
Zorbaz replaces all s’s with z’s. I like to do the zame when talking about Zorbaz.
We ztarted a new tradition and got a zecond round! I ordered it at the bar and they made me carry it out! I think I’d be a really good Zorbaz employee.
Friday night brought a storm. Scary!
Mom’s scared too!
Saturday was a little chilly, but we got a nice sunset. Here’s Dad, me and Mom watching it.
