Just got back from another weekend in Wisconsin. This time to Milwaukee for my cousin Eric’s wedding. Eric and Tina (his now wife) are good friends of mine as well as family, so it was fun to see them start the next chapter of their life.
I went with my family, uncle Steve, Athena, Chris and most of all my 88 year old Grandma. It was so neat to have her be able to make the trip. I knew it meant a lot for her to be there, and she was really excited to see it, so it was special to see it actually happen. We road tripped out there in 2 cars caravan style, and used walkie talkies to communicate and play 20 Questions.
The ceremony was beautiful and complete with a ton of food. I basically felt full the rest of the weekend after the omlet The weather was perfect- it was sunny for their ceremony and brunch, then rained in the afternoon, then was sunny in time for the “Taste of Wisconsin” BBQ complete with Wisconsin brats, beer, and Packers gear.
Since Eric and Tina met in Hawaii, they used tropical flowers for their wedding. I have no problem taking photos of things that don’t move, but when it comes to action, I stress out a little! As those in the Wawra/Olson caravan know.
