When we said goodbye to Pumpkin in November, we didn’t know this was the beginning of the goodbyes to our cars that moved us out to Park City. It’s been a sad couple months, as Chris and I both become attached to our cars, maybe more than a normal person. We both shed some tears when we said goodbye to some very good friends.
Pumpkin has sat un-used for over a year now and since moving to our new house, we didn’t have parking space for 3 vehicles, so it was time to find a new home for Pumpkin. We got really lucky and our friends, the Petersons (a family we go camping with) wanted him really bad. They were looking to get a camping van and wanted to trade in their huge truck, buy a van and get a commuter vehicle just for going around town. They had their eyes on Pumpkin – Nicole has had a Volvo before and already has a love for what makes them so special. Even at the 270,000 miles on Pumpkin. We told her to get it to 300,000 and we’d bring over some beers to celebrate.
