The Neville family came out to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. They were part of our first holiday with family in Utah- it was so nice to have family around during the holidays! We had a great time!
Jen took this neat Thanksgiving 2010 video. Check it out.
The ladies in the kitchen. Jen and a bunch of yummy rolls, me picking pieces off the turkey to use for soup and Julie supervising so all would be done at the same time. The hardest job of the whole day if you ask me!
On Thursday night/Friday morning we did some Midnight Madness shopping at the outlet mall. It was crazy- so many long lines and people everywhere! No time to take photos. This photo is of our lunch the next day at Hi-Mountain Drug in Kamas. We needed to refuel with some of the best burgers in Utah!
After lunch we went for a drive down Mirror Lake highway into the Uintas and took photos by the Beaver Creek Nudist Ranch. Sorry to let you all down, but it’s not real according to the LDS Skinny Dippers Forum.
Jen really wishes it was real. The way she poses by the sign makes it look she wants credit for creating it. Please note that Jen does not want this photo of her on facebook or anywhere else. She gave me special permission to post it on my blog.
Friday night we went to the Egyptian Theatre on Main Street to see “This is It: A tribute to Michael Jackson”. It was a show with singing and dancing to MJ songs by local youth. Pretty well done! We all enjoyed it, especially the Nevilles- they grew up listening to MJ all the time. It would be the equilvent of Elton John or popish Motown for the Wawra clan. (Mr. Postman anyone? or Jump for My Love?).
Late Friday night, Jen goes into Julie’s room with her and comes out saying, “Julie has a special presentation for all of you” and Julie comes out with a turkey hat on her head. It was hiliarious! She forgot to wear it on Thanksgiving, but wanted us to still see it as a suprise.
Big thanks to everyone for a great weekend! I had a lot of fun!
Also credit goes out to Jen and Kit for the photos- I didn’t live up to my camera skills this week!
