Chris and I were at it again this past week. More dogsitting! We stayed at Katie and Matt’s house (some friends of ours) for almost a week. Katie and Matt literally live in a cabin about 30 minutes from our apartment. The drive there involves two one lane canyon roads, lots of deer and a snow covered road up to their house. It’s quite the adventure, but always worth it when you get to the house.
Oh yeah, we took care of some dogs too.
Meet Clavé: She’s an older chocolate lab. She’s very sweet, loves pets and gets excited and jumps with her two front feet. She really liked us- she’d bark in the morning when she figured out we were getting ready to leave for the day and one night we even found her on our bed sleeping before we went to bed. She’s a sweetie. We’ll miss her.
Meet Phil: He’s a young french bulldog. He’s a goofy guy. At night, we put him to bed with his blanket on the couch and in the morning, have to pick him up and put him outside to do his thing. He then runs back and and stands infront of the heater. He doesn’t like the cold. He’d sit at the couch and whine until Chris picked him up and put him on this lap. A picky ‘lil guy!
Like I said, it’s quite the adventure getting to the cabin, but nothing Snowflake couldn’t handle! This is not an issue of the car, more the driver. I could not get enough speed to make it around this turn pretty much everytime I attempted to get in the driveway. Thanks to Snowflake, I made it.
