Chris and I went home for his sister Jennie’s wedding a couple weekends ago. We had a really good time in Minnesota and learned a lot about the details of putting on a wedding. We did a lot of work, but it was really fun and a successful day for all!
The day before the wedding, I had a “fashion show” at Ladies lunch. Lorraine gives those bracelets a “thumbs up!”
The wedding was in Stockholm, Wisconsin. About 90 minutes away from the Twin Cities along the Mississippi river. We got there on Thursday and started to work on Friday morning. I helped to clean and decorate the bathrooms at the reception site. Here’s a photo of Julie, Mary and I making them pretty!
We also laid carpet in the bathrooms, mainly with the bride in mind. Wouldn’t want her pretty dress to get all dirty on the concrete, spider-weby floors!
Here’s the bride to be! Also hard at work!
Friday night, there was a BBQ for all the wedding guests. Here’s Chris, Brian and Ben working the grill.
The Friday night BBQ – dinner is served.
Here’s the garden where the ceremony was. Really beautiful English style garden.
Ben, Kit and Chris. Aren’t those Nevilles handsome??
Ben, Julie and Chris.
What a cutie! Chris and I had our own little photo shoot. This is one of many.
Photo shoot pose!
Unintentional pretty shot of my dress. I probably tried on over 12 dresses to find this one. Big thanks to Katie Perhai!
The ceremony stares with the flowergirls – isn’t little Briana cute? She’s our little buddy on the left. So focused on her task!
Love Jen’s look in this photo. I think it was when Mindy (who presided the ceremony) asked for the rings! Jen looks at Ben and Chris!
“You May Kiss the Bride!”
A big crowd came to the American Legion for the reception.. Check out that receiving line!
The dinner venue. One big tent. Really beautiful decorations!
One of my favorite parts of the whole day was the dance. Jen and Christian had a Contra Dance – it’s like fiddle/country style line dancing with a caller. Super fun! Everyone was dancing!
Do-si-do your partner round and round, go around and hold hands.. So much fun!
A big congrats to Jen and Christian.. So happy we got to be a part of your special weekend!
