It’s been awhile since I posted and I realize it’s because I haven’t done much blogworthy since I got back from Camper’s Paradise. Just getting back into the groove, working a lot to save some vacation time for Nepal.
But, I did get out and have some fun this weekend!
I went to the Sheepdog Championship competition at Solider Hollow on Saturday with my friend Nicole and her two girls Margot and Zoë. It’s about 30 minutes away from my house – a national competition so close to my house! Shepherds and their dogs have to get a group of 5 sheep through 3 gates and then corral the sheep into the white fence above.
This guy and his dog got really close and eventually got them in. These sheep were really fussy. I guess they keep them up in the mountains all summer away from people or dogs so that they’re really not used to being bossed around by a dog. The sheepdog herds the sheep based on whistle commands from the Shepherd and aren’t allowed to touch or bite the sheep. It’s actually really cool to watch!
They had some booths that sorta reminded me of the MN State fair. We saw this big bunny.. I’m sure it’s bigger than Paul and Holly’s bunny, DexDex.
Saw this pretty girl too, but she was too stinky to be our Snowtime doggy. I think she needed a bath.
On Sunday, Chris and went to Octoberfest at Snowbird and Chris took all the photos of me.
Here I am walking down the stairs to go get a brat. That guy in the background wanted to be in the photo I guess.
Bratwurst and sauerkraut. Yep, I’m just a little German. YUM,
