So if you know me, you know that I have a hard time making decisions and tend to change my mind a lot. I know I said like a week and 1/2 ago that I didn’t want it to snow and I wanted to keep mountain biking. While that’s still true, it’s snowed here in Utah, so I’m making the best out of it by going snowboarding on opening weekend at Snowbird.
Snowbird opened on Friday, making it the 2nd earliest they’ve ever opened. We had perfect timing… within an hour of being there, they opened an area of the mountain for the first time this year. We made pretty fresh tracks in Peruvian Gulch- there was for sure at least a foot and 1/2 of powder there, just waiting for us. I have yet to be disappointed with a day at the bird.
My going out today, makes it only 187 days without snowboarding from my last day on May 4th. Pretty sweet!!
