I’ve been doing some research on climate change and things that I can do to lessen my impact on the environment. I learned from my involvement with Recycle Utah that eating meat isn’t really a sustainable way to consume food and has a big impact on the environment. We’re clearing land for cattle grazing and animal agriculture accounts for 14.5% of greenhouse gases. If you were to go vegetarian you’d cut more emissions than if you stopped driving your car.
I’m not ready to go vegetarian, but I’m ready to cut back. Hello Meatless Mondays for 2016. I saw the movie Racing Extinction and it mentioned that even if you cut back on meat 1 day a week, you could make a big difference. Cheers to some new recipes and a new way of eating!
