Memorial Day weekend is officially over. I spent most of my time in the mountains. On Friday, Chris and I went mountain biking. We went on a trail about a mile from our apartment and bit off a little more than we could chew for our 2nd time out. At one point, we walked our bikes up a 45 degree slope. I realized that I need to spend some more time on the trails improving my skills. I am learning that mountain biking can be like hiking through the woods, especially after seeing this cute ‘lil guy.
Saturday, I worked all day. 🙁 Sunday, I headed back into the mountains, this time to ride some snow versus a trail. I went snowboarding May 24th- still breaking that old record! Had a great time, even though it rained a little. The snow is very much like snowcone type ice where they squirt colored flavoring into your ice and all the flavor sinks to the bottom? Yep, that’s what it’s like. Not bad at all! Hey, at least I can say I’ve been snowboarding on Memorial Day weekend. Beat that.
