Merry Christmas! After a quick trip home and then a trip back to a very busy town filled with tourists, things are finally feeling normal this weekend and I’m able to relax and update the blog from what now happened two weeks ago. Oops!
We had a really nice time at home and are thinking that it might have been just a little too short, as we were both so exhausted after 4 jam packed days!
Sharon and I were crossing paths a little bit as she and John headed to Iowa on Sunday, so we crammed some wedding dress shopping for her into Saturday morning (no photos of that, though!), and Sunday morning had a nice brunch, complete with bloody marys made by John. Just the right amount of spicy for me, others might disagree.
The walker came in handy to hold our drinks!
Someone had a few too many bloody marys!
On Sunday night, Kit had a really nice Engagement Party for Chris and I and our families. The whole Neville family came. The Wawra showing was not as good – as Sharon and John were in Iowa and Paul and Holly were traveling to MN from Wisconsin. It was a nice party and good reason to celebrate!
The Neville guys – what nice beards!
The scrubbie making ladies. I told Mary how I’m still working on perfecting the art of the scrubbie making – she had some great tips and I learned that I’d been doing part of it all wrong. Mary and Bob surprised us all by coming to the party, so it was extra special to see them.
Check out these beautiful cheese/sausages Mary made. Pretty darn cute!
Monday was Christmas Eve. We had the Olsons over for present opening and brunch. Kylee had a big role in the process. She has so much energy, it was exhausting!
After brunch, all 7 of us piled in the van and went over to Scott and Krissy’s house for Christmas Eve Dinner. It was pretty fun to fill up the van with everyone!
The driver of the van!
Christmas Eve night we relaxed at home and had mom’s favorite, Bailey’s by the fire downstairs and watched A Christmas Story.
Someone had too much Bailey’s and fell asleep on my lap!
Christmas morning, I went over to Julie’s house for present opening and some delicious cinnamon rolls. Chris gave Julie a laptop for Christmas. She was thrilled to have an expert opinion and help in purchasing her laptop!
Check out my awesome penguin hat. It’s so warm, it’s giving out flames from the tv.
We still have Christmas Tree #5 up in our house, and will be taking it down tomorrow night and the blog is all updated. Christmas might be officially over for the year. 🙁
