I took Midnight out for her first ride. Due to some delay in getting bike shoes and pedals, I painfully stared at Midnight for the past 2 weeks waiting for this day. I got done with work at 7:30pm and headed home as fast as I could to ride Midnight before it was too dark. Thanks to Chris, Midnight was all ready for me as I walked in the door.
Things improved once I got on the trail, which they should, because that’s where Midnight and I belong. She is a full suspension mountain bike after all.
We rode the Glenwild trails that are about a mile from our house, practically in our backyard! The ride went well (see videos below) and I saw a tiny Gardner snake- about as skinny as my pinky. I thought it was a crack in the dirt, but ran over it and it moved! I freaked out a little and had trouble cliping out of my pedals to stop and tell Chris about it. It was scary. Sharon would have fallen off her bike for sure.
Here’s some action videos that Chris took. I promise to improve my riding skills! Midnight and I have work to do! The first video is going uphill, and the 2nd is going downhill with a strange stop in the middle. I didn’t know Chris wanted to keep filming!
