Today was my favorite day so far, we spent about 3 hours hiking away from Sinua to Chomrong, and stopped in Chomrong for some pastries and coffee at the “German Bakery” that my birthday cake came from.
We hiked maybe another hour to Jhinu and checked in to our lodge for the day, the room was one of the nicest so far. We had lunch and headed down to the hot springs- so nice! Crazy to find hot springs better maintained than the ones we’ve been to in the US!! The hot pots were lined with rocks and there was a spot set up to “shower” with hot water befor going in the water. I took advantage of that! After more than a week without a hot shower, the water running out of the rocks through a hose was an awesome hot shower!
After relaxing for about an hour, we headed back to the lodge and read, played cards and chatted with other tourists ’til dinner. Chris and I got a beer and a can of Pringles- so good!! Really felt like vacation, relaxing and good food.
We got kicked out of the dining hall a little early because it’s festival holiday here and the Neplais were having a party. Some good food and Nepali music blasting now, hope they’re having fun. Usually they’re with their families for the holiday, so I’m gals they’re finding a way to celebrate here.
