If there was one word to describe today, it would be COLD. I took my turn with the cold that Chris had and then Craig had. I didn’t sleep much last might because of my stuffy nose and sore throat and it got better as the day went on but was still blowing my nose on the trail every 20 min or so. Blowing your nose in public is a bit of a taboo here, so I’d try to be polite and not do it around Nepalis too much.
Our hike was pretty much all uphill today, we took it slow to help lessen Craig’s chances of getting altitude sick. We past some beautiful waterfalls and ended up above the clouds in Deurali, where it was also cold! We’re at about 11,000 feet and it is chilly! Maybe about 30 degrees? Brr! Got to say I’m not too into the post-hiking chill.
We hung out in the dining hall all night because that’s where it was the warmest and met a cool couple named Kris and Neal from Jackson Hole, WY. We played Trival Pursuit (just cards) with them for a couple hours. It was a good way to pass time while we were waiting for dinner.
I almost forgot to take some more photos before it got too dark, so sorry that some are so dark.
