Last week, Chris and I went to Grand Targhee, Wyoming with some friends of ours. We all decided that we spend most of our time helping others enjoy a ski vacation in Park City- we wanted our own ski vacation. It’s not very often our entire day’s plans consist of going snowboarding, eating dinner and sitting around the condo.
We left on Tuesday afternoon and stayed ’til Friday. It was perfect. 3 full days of skiing, lots of great food and enough drinking to forget about work for a weekend. We’ve all been working pretty hard this winter, so it was a huge relief to get away!
There was a foot or so of powder pretty much every run down the mountain (as seen by this photo of Chris) It was so good! We were in heaven! For a resort with a total of 4 chairlifts and maybe 1/4 the amount of terrain as the Park City resorts, it’s pretty amazing. So much snow, everywhere we went!
Chris made a video of Megan and my excitement. (I’m wearing the black jacket) A friend of ours always says “Oh my God, Oh my God” while snowboarding in awesome conditions, so Garry- this one’s for you. Notice how you can’t even see us behind the cloud of snow? Way cool.
Here’s George and Megan. They were the friends that went with us. Megan and Chris work together in I.T. at Canyons and George works at PCMR. They’d been to Targhee in December and wanted to go back, so when we asked them if they wanted to get out of town with us, they were all for it!
This video is for Jennie. She likes to hear our voices. Chris is interviewing me up close (which I hate) while I wipe a booger off my nose!
Of course, the conditions were awesome again- here’s Chris’s outlook on ’em.
