There was plenty of passion, work and snow this weekend.
- Chris won an award for “Most Passionate Guide” at The Canyons!
- I worked another 60+ hour week, but again had a good time doing it!
- We got 43+ inches of snow!!! It’s not spring anymore!
On Thursday we had an employee end of season party at The Canyons and Chris won an award. He won The Passionate Guide Award, given to only one “Guide” (staff) who shows a great passion for their work and attempts to spread that excitement to others. I knew about this award since early March, but couldn’t tell Chris. I submitted photos for a little video they did for him. He was really surprised when he found out he got it! I’m really proud of him, out of 1,500+ employees at The Canyons, Chris Won!
I’m working! My job was to record times from the snowblade cross race. I wore a headset and the guy who was doing the timing would tell me the time and I’d record it on this big sheet so the participants could see.
Here’s a photo of the event. The participants would go over a jump doing tricks that were popular in the 1970’s. This is called a helicopter. It was a fun event to watch- with people dressed so well and 70’s music playing the whole time, it felt just like I was working in 1976. Pretty cool!
