Paul and Holly came to visit Chris and I from late Saturday until early Wednesday. We had a great time. Nothing beats seeing some MN people- especially family! Makes me realize how much I miss home. We stayed busy with PLENTY of snowboarding (and hiking!).
On Sunday, both Chris and I worked so I let Paul drive Snowflake (he should feel privileged!) to the Canyons and met up with him there once I got off work. I took them on a hike up 9990- the tallest peak at the Canyons and discovered that hiking and high elevation makes Holly’s system a little uneasy! (wink, wink). We ended up on top there a little late in the day and were followed down by Ski Patrol clearing the mountain. Not so fun to go down with someone like that on your tail. Afterward, we took them to the hot springs for their very own hot spring experience. It was not nearly as interesting as last time, but just as hot. I think they enjoyed it.
Yesterday we went to Powder Mountain- which was amazing! Somehow you can still get fresh tracks there a week after a snowstorm. Chris and I took them on the hike we did with Anthony and Jeanna a few weeks ago, and made fresh tracks again! Paul and Holly are becoming quite the hikers! Holly did awesome weaving through the trees and powder. We ended our day with dinner at home with Jeff. He brought us some well deserved ice cream.
Thanks for coming Paul and Holly! We had a lot of fun!!
