Chris and I joined some friends in St. George (southern Utah) last weekend. I ran a half marathon and Chris did a great job cheering as usual. We left work a little early on Friday and were back Sunday afternoon. The weather in Park City has been chilly – highs in the 50’s (if we’re lucky) and sometimes snow, so it was nice to only drive 4 hours and get a final taste of summer in St. George. Highs were around 70 on Saturday.
Irene and I prerace on Saturday morning. In shorts!
We ran through Snow Canyon State Park. It was beautiful! What a nice course. Irene took this photo mid-race.
Finish! The end was strange, we had to run around a high school track. I’ve honestly spent so little time running on a track, it felt very strange. I didn’t start running ’til my freshman year in college.
After our run, we went back to our condo and showered then went for a nice hike in Snow Canyon State Park. Chris, Sarah and I hiked and Irene, Troy and John climbed.
The climbing was far too advanced for me. Here’s a photo from Irene – wow!
Cool photo from the slot canyon we hiked in- so much more secure than climbing!
