This past month was one of the snowiest it’s been since we moved to Utah and it’s been awesome. It’s like Utah wanted to welcome us to home ownership or something!? We’ve sure been doing our share of work on the driveway and snow blowing, but are sure enjoying it too.
Jan 11: This morning we woke up to over a foot on the driveway – here’s a photo of Chris snow blowing! We had to get up extra early and start in the dark this day.
Jan 3: Snowbanks by the door
January 8: Storm-riding! This is what it means to go snowboarding during a storm.
On January 14th, we went for a walk to get bagels for breakfast. It was kinda unusually humid for Utah and the snow left frosties on Penguin and I.
Chris does most of the snow blowing and I shovel the walks and the deck. The snowbanks are like a foot from the roof!
If you know our house, you know there’s a post with some Christmas lights on it that helps you find it – here, it’s almost buried on Jan. 5!
Enough of that .. we had some friends come to visit the weekend of January 21 and went to Powder Mountain to get out of town and play a bit. Here’s Chris loving all the sweet pow.
While our friends were in town, we took a day off skiing and went snowmobiling at Thousand Peaks Ranch. Some friends of ours did it in December and after living here almost 10 years, it was time we tried something new, right?
I wanted to drive my own snowmobile – here’s a selfie of me on my sled. You can see Chris in the background in the orange helmet!
