Hello, welcome back! I’ve been a little MIA from blogging over the past year, no real good excuse, just got busy and didn’t make it a priority. I did get a new job, and converted my old blog into a little more official professional site, but wanted to keep the blog going, just make it look a little bit better – so enjoy the new and improved version of the blog. I might make an effort to do some catch up posts too, so stay tuned for that too.
After over a year of planning, we’re heading to Africa! This is kind of an over-do honeymoon for us, when we got married in 2014, we knew we wanted to do a big trip, but didn’t have the PTO then, and in 2015 we couldn’t afford it and 2016 was sadly filled with Chris’s back problems. So – 2017 brings us a big trip!
Here’s a brief overview of where we’ll be:
June 20: Fly to London
June 21: Fly to Paris
June 22: Fly to Johannesburg, South Africa go to Entabeni Safari Conservancy
June 23: Settle in, do a course inspection, Chris to decide to run 13.1 miles or 26.2
June 24: RACE DAY!
June 25: Relax and celebrate day
June 26: Explore Entabeni
June 27: Back to Johannesburg, fly to Zambia, explore town there
June 28: See Victoria Falls, cross border into Zimbabwe just to say we did
June 29: Depart Zambia, go to Cape Town, South Africa
June 30: Wine Tour
July 1: See Penguins, the real kind, not the dog version
July 2: Table Mountain tour, Robben Island tour, catch 11:00pm flight
July 3: Arrive in Utah, say hello to Julie and give Penguin lots of pets
July 4: Celebrate America
I’m hoping to update daily, but we’ll see how the wifi and schedule is – stay tuned!
